Magnets used in magnetic therapy

Magnetic therapy is being considered as an alternative to medicines. In magnetic therapy, magnets are used to heal the body of the person suffering from the ailment. However, the person undergoing the magnetic therapy should be aware of the different magnets used in the therapy. Basically there are two types of magnets that are used in the magnetic therapy products. The bi polar magnets and the uni pole bio magnets. The uni pole bio magnets are used to reverse and manage the ailments. The north pole of the uni pole bio magnet is the healing side of the magnet. It increases the cellular oxygen, decreases the inflammation, reduces the pain and also reduces the fat deposition.

The most commonly used magnet in the magnetic therapy is the ceramic magnet. It is a type of iron in a very fine form. It is produced from fired clay as well as barium ferrite. The production of this magnet is done by following a number of processes, which will help it to retain its magnetic properties for many years. This magnet is generally coated with plastic and epoxy for protection. However, this type of magnet is quite brittle and can break easily and so it should be handled with care. This magnet is used for the therapeutic purposes. It is also used in magnetic wraps, pillows, pads and mattresses. The other type of magnet used is alnico magnet. It is a high-energy alloy made of aluminum, nickel, iron, cobalt and copper.

Magnetic therapy also uses the neodymium type of magnet. The neodymium magnet is made from neodymium, iron and boron. Since it has a mixture of all the rare materials, it proves to be a stronger magnet than the other magnets. However, it is also the most priced magnet. It is available in disk shapes and small blocks. This magnet should be protected from moisture as it may be subjected to rusting which may cause serious damage. Flexible magnetic rubber is also available in the market. Its magnetic field is oriented through the thickness providing North Pole on one side and the South Pole that is provided on the other side. Flexible magnets where the user can change the alignment of the poles are also available. Apart from this, mini magnets called as spot magnets are also used in the magnetic therapy. They are made of ceramic, neodymium and Samarium cobalt. These magnets are glued to various strips, which are ready to apply. These magnets are also available in several different grades. All these magnets used in the magnetic therapy come with the acupuncture point finder, which automatically locates the areas to be treated and gives relief from pain to the person.
